Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

Ashabhavan (Empowering People Social Service Society) is a non-profit charitable organization. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which refunds or cancellations may be processed for donations and sponsorships made through our website.

2. Donation Refunds

Donations made to Ashabhavan are voluntary charitable contributions. Approved refunds are subject to deduction of non-recoverable payment gateway processing fees. As such:

• Donations are generally non-refundable as they are used directly for the welfare of children in our care
• If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction
• Refund requests for erroneous donations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• For approved refunds, a cancellation/processing fee of up to 5% of the donation amount will be deducted to cover non-recoverable payment gateway charges

3. Failed & Duplicate Transactions

In the event of a technical issue during payment processing:

• If your account was debited but the payment was not captured by the gateway, the amount will be automatically reversed by your bank within 5-7 business days. For transactions where the payment was captured but subsequently failed, the processing fee may be deducted from the refund
• Duplicate charges resulting from technical errors will be refunded in full within 5-7 business days
• If an automatic refund is not received within 10 business days, please contact us with your transaction details
• All refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for the transaction

4. Sponsorship Cancellation

If you have enrolled in a recurring sponsorship program:

• You may cancel your sponsorship at any time by providing 30 days written notice via email
• Sponsorship payments already processed are non-refundable as they have been allocated to the child's care
• Upon cancellation, you will receive a final statement of your contributions and their impact

5. Refund Process

To request a refund for eligible transactions, please follow these steps:

1. Email us with your full name, transaction ID, date of transaction, and amount
2. Our team will review your request within 3 business days
3. If approved, the refund will be processed within 5-7 business days
4. You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated

6. Refund Mode & Timeline

All refunds will be processed to the original payment method in INR only. Refund timelines depend on your bank/card issuer and may take 5-10 business days after approval.
