Asha Bhavan is a hostel for physically challenged children started in 1981 as a project of the Adoor diocese of the Mar Thoma Church. Children from various castes and communities do stay together as family members and enjoy their life over here by participating in various activities. Asha Bhavan aims the overall individual development of physically challenged children with financial constraints. Asha Bhavan provides better life for these children by trying to rehabilitate them to the best possible way.

What is physically challenged?
It is a serious usually permanent physical condition that affects one's ability to walk, to see, to speak, to work, to think etc. Most physical disabilities are characterized under two categories. Orthopedic and neurological disorders. Individuals with an orthopedic disorder may be born with or acquire problems with bones, muscles, facia and joints.
